At Japls Africa Cottages, we value your satisfaction and understand that plans can change. This policy outlines your rights and our obligations regarding cancellations and refunds for cottage bookings made online.
Cancellation Window
You are entitled to cancel your cottage booking within 14 days from the date of confirmation, provided your check-in date is not within the next 7 days. No reason is required for cancellations within this period.
For bookings made within 7 days of check-in, cancellations will be subject to a 25% cancellation fee.
How to Cancel
To cancel your reservation, please send a written request via email to:
Include your full name, booking reference number, and reason for cancellation (optional).
Refund Processing
Eligible refunds will be processed within 14 business days of receiving your cancellation request.
Refunds will be made using the same payment method used during booking.
No additional processing fees will be charged for refunds.
Non-Refundable Conditions
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
Cancellation request received after your check-in date.
No-shows without prior notice.
Bookings made under special discount promotions or non-refundable packages.
Early check-outs or unused nights during your stay.
Modifications
If you'd like to reschedule your booking instead of canceling:
Requests must be made at least 72 hours before check-in.
One-time rescheduling is allowed without penalty (subject to availability).
Force Majeure
We are not liable for cancellations due to events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics). In such cases, we will provide a voucher or credit valid for future stays.
